The Art of Being Present

The art of being present feels like allowing yourself to love fully and deeply and keeping in mind that love is both comprehension and consideration on the highest of levels.

The art of being present feels like connecting in the now to freely enjoy this moment without the distraction or depression of yesterday. Or the apprehension or haste of tomorrow.

The art of being present is immersing yourself in gratitude. It’s allowing the awe and vibrancy of life to inspire blissful wonder that you are here, now, rather than on a path that could have led elsewhere. To be alive and able to fully sense that the present is a gift

The art of being present is recalling that it’s not all about the end result as much as it’s about the journey to this moment and every future moment we’re afforded

The art of being present is the following of nature as it ebbs and flows through seasons and cycles. Maintaining a rhythm that doesn’t stagnate.

The art of being present is thinking in terms that reflect “I am” versus “I was, I did, I hope or I will.” It’s in honoring the fact that our words have power and have the ability to shape reality. It’s being mindful and keeping this truth at the forefront of our thoughts

The art of being present is surrendering and to letting go of control. It is giving up the rush to move forward or the pull to dwell on what lies behind. It’s in choosing to be aware, accept and acknowledge

The art of being present is knowing that everything and everyone has meaning and profound value. Understanding this fact reminds us that each moment is also fleeting. Appreciate all the moments deeply, love them intentionally and always choose love in them.

The art of being present is holding yourself accountable to lessons learned and being consistent with boundaries out of respect for this. Not only in the boundaries we set for others, but in the boundaries we hold for ourselves. It’s in doing what needs to be done now to align with our life’s vision.

The art of being present is taking a deep breath to savor the now moment with joy and contentment. Intently and actively listening to understand. Respecting ourselves and others enough to provide our full attention

The art of being present is accepting that irritations and frustrations are a part of the process to ease, peace and harmony. It’s in sitting with the flowing sentiments to enable solutions and provide strategies.

The art of being present is about showing up, with curiosity and compassion, for ourselves and the moment we’re in. It’s in actively practicing love - love for the now, love for others, and love for ourselves. This is the art of being present.
